Kitty Allen
County Commissioner – District 2
Primary: May 5, 2026 | General: Aug 6, 2026
Kitty wants to put residents first and stop unchecked development from changing the community’s rural character. She brings nearly 30 years of public policy experience focused on transparency, accountability, and protecting local land, water, and way of life.

KITTY ALLEN
Washington County Commission – District 2

Kitty Allen is a proud Limestone resident with deep East Tennessee roots—and a clear mission: protect our community before it’s changed beyond recognition.

With nearly 30 years in public policy and communications, Kitty understands how government works—and more importantly, when it is not working for the people. A retired professional, mother, and grandmother, she is stepping forward to bring common sense, accountability, and real leadership back to Washington County.

This campaign is about protecting what matters:

  • Clean water
  • Rural land and our way of life
  • Responsible growth that puts residents first—not outside interests

Kitty is fighting to:

  • Deliver real property tax relief for Washington County seniors
  • Extend the moratorium on data centers and bitcoin mining through at least 2030
  • Demand transparency and accountability in county government, including:
    • Enforcing ethics and continuing education requirements for commissioners
    • Removing barriers to public records so citizens can see what their government is doing

Washington County shouldn’t be a testing ground for outside developers, industrial expansion, or high-impact projects that don’t belong here. This is our home. It’s worth protecting.
