Next Forum to Focus on Healthcare Access & Equity on May 9
Today, the Washington County Democratic Party (WCDP) announces the full schedule for its 2023 Public Forum Series, with monthly panels of experts discussing topics that matter locally to residents of Washington County.
“These events are intentionally non-partisan, open to the public, and designed as informational and educational sessions to benefit all,” said Sylvain Bruni, WCDP Chair. “Following the successes of our first three Forums – Diversity and Inclusion in Appalachia in January, Education for All in February, and Protecting our Environment in April – we assembled a wide-ranging series of topics to be addressed throughout the year.”
The series includes:
- May 9 – Forum on Healthcare Access & Equity
- July 11 – Forum on Equitable Public Safety & Justice
- August 8 – Forum on Transportation & Mobility
- October 10 – Forum on Protecting Workers
- November 14 – Forum on Economic Development for All
The public is invited to optionally RSVP and learn more about each forum online at wctndp.org/forums.
All events will be held at the Carver Park Recreation Center (322 W Market St, Johnson City, TN 37604) on the second Tuesday of the month, starting at 6:30 pm. They will also be live-streamed on the WCDP Facebook page at facebook.com/wctndp.
The Forum on Healthcare Access & Equity will feature local speakers Dr. Chase Harless (Program Manager at the Southern Equality Research and Policy Center), Dr. Jean Croce Hemphill (Professor and Academic Director of the Doctor of Philosophy Program at ETSU College of Nursing), Brooks Blair (Executive Director at Project Access / Ballad Health Population Health), and Naia Tidwell (Site Coordinator for Johnson City at Project Access East TN).
