Democratic Candidates to the US Senate to Speak at Washington County Democrats’ Annual Gala Event
The Washington County Democratic Party (WCDP) is thrilled to announce that all three Democratic women running for the US Senate will keynote the 2024 State of Franklin Dinner. Marquita Bradshaw, Civil Miller-Watkins, and Gloria Johnson will headline the annual gala event to be held on April 27, 2024, at the Carnegie Hotel starting at 5 pm.
“We couldn’t be more excited to welcome Marquita, Civil, and Gloria to Washington County for our State of Franklin Dinner,” said Sylvain Bruni, Chair of WCDP. “All three are running impressive statewide campaigns to become the Democratic nominee who will finally bring true northeast Tennessee representation to Washington.”
The State of Franklin Dinner is local Democrats’ annual political fundraising event and the premier such event in our region. Funds raised during the dinner and silent auction support local Democrats running for office in our county. “It’ll be a fabulous event with exquisite food and great music and dancing! What a great way to have fun and help our local candidates for school board, city commission, mayor, or state house kickstart their campaigns in the county,” said Cindy Humphrey and Jennifer Gardner, Co-Chairs of the event.
