The public is invited to drop off donations of first necessity items at the Democrat Resource Center in Johnson City
Following this Saturday’s deadly tornadoes in Middle Tennessee, Democratic County Parties in northeast Tennessee are responding to a call for help from communities in Clarksville by organizing a collection of first necessities in our region. The public is invited to drop off donations for Clarksville at the Democrat Resource Center (DRC) at 2700 S Roan St #440 in Johnson City every day this week between 10 am and 1 pm.
Requested items include:
- Food (canned & non-perishable items) and water
- Clothes (socks, underwear, t-shirts)
- Diapers and baby formula (also, other food and sanitary items)
- Pet food (for dogs, cats, birds, reptiles)
- Toiletries (toothbrushes & toothpaste, soap, shampoo)
“We seek to come together and help our fellow Tennesseans. We will deliver a first batch of donations on Wednesday or Thursday this week, and then again this weekend,” said Sylvain Bruni, Chair of the Washington County Democratic Party. “After 24 hours of collection, we already have a car full of supplies. We thank everyone for their generosity. Every bit will help!”
Donations will be collected throughout December and into January as needed. For more information, please call 423.806.0606 or email info@wctndp.org.
